3 Signs You Might Be An Empath

Have you ever been told you are "too sensitive" or "too emotional"? If so, then you might be an Empath. An empath in its simplest form is a person's ability to feel what others feel. It is the capacity to put yourself in someone's shoes so much that you can actually experience the emotions that this person is feeling. But being an empath is so much more than just that. Here are 3 signs you might be an empath:

1. Energy

When you meet someone or enter a room, you can feel the energy of that person or space. When you see someone, you can tell if they are off, sad, angry, or nervous just from the energy they give off. The same is true for when you enter a room and it just feels wrong.

2. Physical

You become ill when you are around someone who might be physically ill and can actually feel what others feel. You might start to feel tightness in your chest or nausea when you are around someone who is physically ill — and the moment you leave that space, you feel better.

3. Truth

You are a natural truth detector. You can discern when something is not right or someone is not being truthful and honest with you. This goes beyond just being suspicious — it usually results in a nagging feeling that someone is just not right.

Even though this list is brief and to the point, know that there are many other signs that you are empathic. Many empaths find their way into caring professions like nurses, counselors, teachers, massage therapists, and more! For an empath, this gift is something you were born with — and because we live in a physical world, we are often told that it isn't real and it never develops.

Fortunately, the world is awakening and more and more empaths are beginning to accept their gifts! The Good Center recognizes this gift and has been helping people understand and develop it even further.
