counseling philosophy

Natalie H. Guadalupe has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baylor University.  After college, she earned a master's degree from the University of Maryland at College Park and became a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist.  After working as a licensed therapist, Natalie attended the American University Washington College of Law where she earned her JD in 2011, passed the Maryland Bar in 2012 and the Texas Bar in 2014.  Natalie has completed additional training in family law with a focus on divorce, child support, child custody, narcissism, co-dependency, parallel parenting, communication skills, toxic relationships, and life-coaching.  In her free time, Natalie enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, going to the gym, and practicing Spanish.  A fun fact about Natalie is that she also enjoys making TikTok and Instagram videos as an outlet for public education

She approaches counseling with the mindset that her clients are the experts on their situation and need a licensed professional to guide them towards the best solution to problem before them.  Her favorite models of therapy are Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, and Narrative approaches to problems, goals, and the future.
